to Explain the Fact of Creation

Protecting Mankind From the Disasters of Darwinism

Throughout the course of history a great many deceptive ideologies have been produced, such as communism, fascism, anarchism, racism and atheism. These all offer false analyses and definitions of man, society and the universe, and many people deceived by them have lost their faith or fallen into doubt. Furthermore, these ideologies have dragged people, societies and nations into terrible crises, conflicts and wars, and have inflicted catastrophes on the world. They bear a large part of the responsibility for the suffering, problems and crises still going on in the world today.

There is another striking point here which we need to consider. The ideologies in question rest on a common foundation, the allegedly scientific idea of Darwin's theory of evolution, as go about denying creation and the Creator. The idea of evolution is the basis of anti-religious ideologies.

Although the theory of evolution has been doggedly defended since the mid-19th century right up to the present, scientific discoveries over the intervening 150 years demonstrate that the theory is actually no more than unscientific nonsense. Yet no matter how much scientific advances have undermined all the claims of evolution, those circles are still engaged in a wide-ranging effort to keep the theory alive. The sole reason for that is that the theory is used as a means of denying the existence of God.

It is certainly the case that behind so-called evolution or so-called science is intense overt or covert propaganda. Newspapers, advertising posters, books, films, television documentaries and the Internet are all full of messages denying creation and the Creator. Whereas the fact is that people are actually surrounded on all sides by evidence of creation. Everything we see around us, everything in the universe, from the cells in our bodies to the galaxies in the depths of outer space, was created by God. The perfection, glorious artistry, magnificent order and superb design in all these things are proofs of His creation. This fact is stated in the Bible:

God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein. (Acts 14, 15)

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things...(1 Timothy 6, 13)

The news that God created everything, gave it order and approved of it is also given in the Qur'an,

He to whom the kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs. He does not have a son and He has no partner in the Kingdom. He created everything and determined it most exactly. (Surat al-Furqan: 2)

The Originator of the heavens and earth. When He decides on something, He just says to it, 'Be!' and it is. (Surat al-Baqara: 117)

Let us Join Forces to Explain the Existence of God and His Creation

Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in the existence of God, in His oneness, that the whole universe and all living things were created by Him, and that people must regulate their lives according to His revelations. The concept of morality and ideal social model described in the Bible and in the Qur'an agree in many respects. Jews, Christians and Muslims need to draw closer to one another in a spirit of great respect and love built on these foundations. The call in the Qur'an for people to 'unite around a common word' must be implemented in the best possible way by the members of all three religions.

God has created the difficult as well as the easy. He has given believers the means and the evidence with which to demolish the deniers' twisted and deviant philosophies. Everyone who listens to the voice of his conscience and examines nature and the universe honestly and without prejudice will see the proofs of creation all around him. Everything, animate or inanimate, is full of messages revealing God to us. We are surrounded by signs that clearly indicate His existence and oneness.

The greatest nonsense put forward by those who deny the existence of God is the claim that everything, living and non-living, came about as the result of chance. In order to overthrow this superstition that these people are trying to spread, we need to examine the evidence for creation all around us in the light of modern science and then tell others about it. People of good conscience who thus clearly see the magnificent structures and perfect design in living things and millions of sensitive balances around us will realise that these could not have occurred by chance, but that everything was created by God, the Lord of Infinite Might. That will thus destroy the idea of 'chance' which the deniers are attempting to propagate.

The proofs of creation, of His existence and oneness, of His infinite might, knowledge and art include all the different information and facts before our eyes. These are a means by which people can realise the existence of God and turn towards Him.

Placing the many proofs of creation, which the heedless see every day around them but fail to understand, and the full details of the perfection in them before the eyes of such people will be highly effective in doing away with that heedlessness. There are a great many signs of faith which everybody sees all the time yet which few people stop to think about. The human body on its own is an enormous proof of creation. Our eyes are a great deal more complex than and superior to the most advanced cameras in the world. All the systems in our bodies function in great harmony and equilibrium. Our internal organs carry out chemical processes, which even giant laboratories could never hope to do, in the most perfect manner. In order to do away with this culture of heedlessness and replace it with one built on gratitude and obedience to God, Jews, Christians and Muslims need to wok together.

Many verses of the Qur'an call on people to consider the facts we have just related, and to see and understand these proofs of the existence and greatness of God. The following are just a few of the hundreds of verses on the subject:

Do you not see how He created seven heavens in layers, and placed the moon as a light in them and made the sun a blazing lamp? Allah caused you to grow from the earth then will return you to it and bring you out again. Allah has spread the earth out as a carpet for you so that you could use its wide valleys as roadways. (Surah Nuh: 15-20)

The whole universe is full of countless such details, yet as we have just seen, most people never stop to think about them in their daily lives. That is why communicating the aspects of the proofs of creation that people have never considered will encourage them to do so and be most influential in getting them to recognise the power and might of God.

Every sincere Christian, Jew and Muslim has an obligation to do all he can in this light. The best thing that Jews, Christians and Muslims, who believe in one God, try to attain His good pleasure, have completely surrendered themselves to Him, are totally devoted to Him, praise Him and share the same fundamental values, can do is to act in unison.

An end needs to be put to the arguments and debates between Christians, Jews and Muslims based on historical problems, prejudices, misunderstandings and bigotry. We must not forget that there is no time to lose. It is clear that both sides need to approach each other in a spirit of tolerance and understanding. The important thing is to stress the points we have in common, not the differences between us, to facilitate rather than create difficulties, to be constructive rather than destructive, to be helpful rather than obstructive, to unify rather than to divide.
